Crossing the Desert. The journey from one side of the country to the other is indescribable. Today's road follows the route of the original settlers along the course of the river Chubut for two hundred kilometres of the 600+ kilometre journey. There is a handful of settlements on the way across and little has changed since the original settlers found their way across and since man first came to this region more than 10,000 years ago.

The Upper Chubut Valley. Continuing on the route of the first settlers up the Upper Chubut Valley through scenery which resembles a combination of Death Valley, Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon. A 4x4 adventure in a fusion of extinct volcanoes, petrified forests, unexplored canyons and remnants of ancient settlements of Tehuelche Indians.

Around Trevelin. A tour of Cwm Hyfryd, the beautiful valley, with visits to a working mill, the spectacular cascades at Nant y Fall, the regional museum and many of the sites of Welsh historical interest.

4WD adventure in Ruta Rifleros. An 200 kilometre journey on the rough track followed by the original settlers when they first discovered Trevelin. Through unsurpassable scenery with condors watching you all the way. Returning via Arroyo Pescado (Nant y Pysgod), the site where North American bandits murdered Llwyd ap Iwan, the son of the founder of the Welsh Colony, Michael D Jones. The real hidden Patagonia.
